About
Terminal Walk is an independent site of airport maps and walking times for 20 US airports.
Who runs this site
We are not affiliated with any airline, airport or the TSA. There are no ads on the site today. If we add them, this page will say so first.
How the walking times are made
The walkways and gate positions come from OpenStreetMap. Each time is a pure walk from a named security checkpoint exit at a steady pace, plus any airside trains the route uses, and it never includes the security line. Times are shown as ranges, not one number.
See How we work out times for the full method, and Credits for the map data license.
How the pages are built and checked
Our pages are built by code from the map data and fixed wording, written with the help of an AI coding assistant and approved by us.
Before every release, automated checks run on every page, including that every time on a page matches the walking-time tool and that every label matches the data. The release stops if any page fails a check.
Gates change
Airports add, close and renumber gates. Gate positions come from OpenStreetMap, so a new gate can be missing here until it is mapped. If a gate is missing or wrong, tell us.
Corrections
Write to hello@terminalwalk.com with the airport, the gate or checkpoint, and what looks wrong. We check it against the airport's own map, then fix the page or reply with why it stands.
